On the recruiting end, people know about it. Even the Young bucks..... And when they ask it gives recruiters a chance to talk about the other improvements in the LOA. All they see is pay rates and min guarantee and think they'd make more money first year elsewhere. No one thinks past year three until you lay it all out for them.

Classes are staying full because there are so many applicants. There are 123 interviews scheduled in the next 5 weeks alone. Classes are full until April. EDV is hiring CFIs, military, and 121 as they apply. Heck, they have even extended CJOs to students who don’t currently meet the minimums, but should within 6 months.

There has been an influx of 121 folks, starting with your group from AWAC, and continuing til now with XJT. But those will taper off eventually. In the interim, while the large number of applicants allow the HR folks to be more selective and picky in the quality and attitude of applicants (there have been some 121 people turned away because of their “deserving” attitude during the interview in spite of the experience they offer), they are by no means excluding any group of such.

And now with the new pay rates, 2nd yr FO pay actually goes down vs. 1st yr. But that is no different than all the other regionals. Just new for us.
Regarding them getting more selective, I just got a "no thanks" email a week after my phone interview with 1900 hours military fighter and tanker TT, DC-10 type rating, commercial multi-engine instrument and current on IPC, flight review and night flying. Kind of in shock right now since I was very focused on Endeavor as my #1 choice and making sure I was prepared to apply and do well.

Those numbers are competitive for legacy carriers. If it had nothing to do with skeletons in the closet/personality conflict, maybe they assume you will leave before they are able to recoup their investment in you. How long have you been out of flying?

No skeletons for sure. Former cop, then 20 years military, then got my second masters degree and had 2 years as an expat running my own business and teaching at an international school.

I'm guessing it's recency of heavy flying experience. I was 12 years out of cockpit and in the last couple of weeks (after talking with one of their recruiters in December to find out what they're looking for) I've gotten current on my flight review, night flying and IPC. The phone interviewer was aware of my recent hours and was positive when I said I'd keep flying locally until I enter a training program.

Lots of guys have gotten hired with similar background recently so I'm guessing either some wire got crossed in my application process or they are getting a deluge of higher quality applicants.

They knew you’d be gone in less then a year. Not worth it for them to train you only to have you leave immediately for a major.

Maybe so. Still bummed though. Endeavor seems like such a great airline and the reputation I hear about it from other pilots is so positive.

Seems like it's time to get working on being the best candidate I can be for a different airline.

You’ll be fine. I’d just take a shot gun approach to all the regionals. Take the first class you get and you’ll likely be out of there In less then a year.
