Default Leaping from 135

Hi guys. I was hoping to get some insight regarding 135 capts that have recently made the move to EDV. I see that regs allow previous 135 turbojet PIC time to be used towards the requirements of 121.436 in lieu of/combined with previous 121 time. Will these 135 PIC hrs actually lead to a new hire upgrading sooner or even right away (if they had a 1000)? Or does the company still require a certain # of company hrs, 121 hrs, etc before offering the left seat?

If your experience meets the requirements of 121.436 you can expect to upgrade in newhire training.

What type of 135 flying were you doing? There’s been some confusion of what is actually applicable towards the 1000 121. The reg is very specific on which types of 135 flying can be used.

Alright took me a few but I found it. The reg says 135.243(a)(1). Which says 10 or more passenger seats, or scheduled ops (like Cape Air)

No, it doesn't. It's turbojet pic OR 10 seats or more OR multi engine commuter

Christ post the reg instead of getting snippy.

§ 135.243 Pilot in command qualifications.
(a) No certificate holder may use a person, nor may any person serve, as pilot in command in passenger-carrying operations -

(1) Of a turbojet airplane, of an airplane having a passenger-seat configuration, excluding each crewmember seat, of 10 seats or more, or of a multiengine airplane in a commuter operation as defined in part 119 of this chapter, unless that person holds an airline transport pilot certificate with appropriate category and class ratings and, if required, an appropriate type rating for that airplane.

So in summary, it's gotta be:

PIC, and in pax ops, and:

Jet, or
10 or more pax seats, or
Multi engine commuter

Also there's some old info still making its rounds that one of the "ors" is an "and," but that's based on an erroneous FAA official interpretation that's been officially corrected.

There’s no OR between turbojet pic and 10 seats or more.

135.243 Pilot in command qualifications.
