Western (SLC??) base coming?
I’ve heard rumblings of a western base coming in the not-too-distant future for EDV. Does SLC seem most likely? (Isn’t OO’s flying for Delta out of SLC being reduced?) If an SLC base is likely coming, what’s the projected timing?

This is the kind of question one asks on the main EDV thread. Only start a new thread about a subject such as this if you have firsthand knowledge that others don't and want to spread the good(or bad) news. This subject isn't new at all.

If DL's desire is to get as much regional flying as possible under their operational control, how is it possible for EDV to go without a western base?
An EDV recruiter has stated that they expect a western base to open in as little as 6 months and strongly suggested it would be SLC. Recruiters are recruiters at times, as we all know, hence my desire to get perspective from others (especially those currently flying the line) on the matter.

Regional bases open and close all the time. Especially with Delta consolidating their regional flying, absolutely nothing would surprise me. I mean for crying out loud, Skywest is opening a LGA base and apparently will also have JFK flying. Who would have seen that coming 1 year ago? I don’t believe express jet or republic did any jfk flying.

Anyway, everything you want to know about this rumor is in the main thread. Asked and answered
