I dont doubt you, but the line report and the 9/7/18 seniority list are all I have to go on and both say Nov.

ATL/200/Mar18/Jan18 (No change)
ATL/900/Nov17/Jul17 (No change/+1 month)
DTW/200/Apr18/Dec17(No change/ +2 months)
DTW/900/Apr18/Oct17 (No change/+1 month)
MSP/900/Jan18/June17(No change/ +3 months)
NYC/200/Aug18/Apr18 (New Hire/no change)
NYC/900/Aug18/Nov17 (New Hire/+2 months)

Assuming 3 months in training, a new hire would have spent about 4 months (200) to 9 months (900) on reserve in NYC.
How long in Atlanta? I assume a new hire can get Atlanta? Are base choices and equipment determined by seniority within a class, which is in turn determined by last four of social?

Up to a year to get Atlanta. No, yes based on company need, yes, but keep in mind as of late only NYC and possibly only the 200 or 900 is offered to New Hires, since open positions must be offered to pilots already on property.

Keep in mind all of this can change at the drop of a hat... bid for what you want and hope you get what you want.

Endeavor management just offered Time Off Without Pay to the pilot group meaning they have way to many people for the amount of flying they have. Pilots looking to come here would be smart to look elsewhere EDV offs good pay but that’s about it.

You also have to wonder how Delta's future A220 flying is going to affect all their East Coast codeshares. If getting off reserves or a base or a line or upgrades is a lengthy process now, how much longer will it take when some of the longer legs are done by the baby bus?

All the good flying is going to be gone it’s going to be 200 flying in the 900. Go somewhere that you can move up the list fast because the music is going to stop sooner then people think and you want to be as far up the ladder as you can get before that happens.

Hey man, the 200 flying isn’t bad... 😞

The last vacancy for 2018 just dropped. Here is what we have. The dates are the date of hire for each position.

Base|Equipment|Most Jr CA|Most Jr FO
ATL|200|13NOV17|26MAR18
ATL|900|9JAN17|11DEC17
DTW|200|23JAN17|20AUG18
DTW|900|4JAN16|21MAY18
MSP|900|9MAY05|8JAN18
NYC|200|9APR18|1OCT18
NYC|900|23APR18|29OCT18

Everything is slowly starting to slide more junior, with MSP as the forever exception to that. The 200 is still showing the most movement out of the two fleet types. After this vacancy, I can't imagine many more happening in the first half of 2019 due to no planned growth so this may be the last upgrade opportunity we see for 6ish months.

I think the vacancies will stay consistent at about 20-30 per 2 month vacancy. Otherwise the fo side will ger way too fat and that does not help consolidation. Hopefully as Delta and United start hiring we’ll have some decent attrition from the captain side like we did earlier this year... 30-40 a month.

However I will say that things will slide very senior on the captain side for those who win awards... upgrades will go to fos with seniority wanting to start the dgi clock, not just anyone who has the time. Big departure from how things have been here for the past 2-3 years. By the time big vacancies come back this coming summer, all the spots will be taken by those hired in 2017, not to those with prior 121 time being hired today.
