Maybe it’ll be expedited by this event. A mainline pilot shared on one of our internal FB groups that he was in uniform, given a non-rev upgrade to Comfort+ on an Endeavor flight going to work. After already taking his seat, the Captain approaches him with a new boarding pass for a seat in Economy and also a copy of the memo stating it was his (the Captain’s) interpretation that the mainline guy wasn’t allowed in Comfort+.

Ok before this thread devolves into a sh&@#% slinging contest, for the record, to any DL mainline users reading this thread and following this DH FC/C+ issue, NONE of us at 9E want any problems down the road let alone a desire for batting the bee hive. There is no plan nor pact nor secret desire to force the issue by hurting mainline pilots so please don’t get the wrong impression from this lone wolf in question. Was it in bad taste? Of course. Having said that we are still waiting clarification from our company regarding the memo (which is replete with false information). The vast majority of us will continue to help a uniformed crew member who needs to get somewhere.

If that were true the SSP would have been cancelled quickly. We arent their first regional or contractor, they won't over react, but clarification would be nice...because they certainly won't reverse their new policy.

Ever heard of Comair or ASA? The memo was pretty clear. No FC or C+ in uniform while on a DH or non rev.

I abide by this. I as a captain will not be enforcing any uniform dress codes in premium cabins assigned to a non rev. This is a silly rule. If you wish you police yourself, you do you.
