Didn't mean to say that were going to stop hiring but probably roll it back to around 15-20 per month until next summer.

Sick accrual did go up but as I understand it, unplanned sick occurrence have not gone up.

Also the vacation benefits don't go into effect until 2021.

It’s increasing for certain longevity brackets. More vacation means more pilots to fill in. Avro is right, it doesn’t go into effect for awhile.

I interviewed late september. There were 6 of us on that day. I was the first one to do interview and got the job offer and accepted it immediately before i left the building. They asked me when can i start, 2 classes for Oct. and nov. and only 1 class for Dec. I wanted dec but it was already full.

Hey guys,
Any ideas on reserve time for NYC bases? And how is seniority established in the training class is it by age? Or last four of SSN?

6 instructors including myself are looking to leave at about the same time so we are trying to figure out which airline to go. (endeavor, envoy, republic etc)

Thanks in advance.

Answered several times but -

Plan on reserve for one year and be happy when it’s not. Highly likely you will be going to NYC.

Last four of social
9999 - highest seniority
0000 - lowest seniority

900/200 is random and at company needs - no switching fleets for 18 months

Reserve in NYC is at least 10-12 months on the 900 with little flying. Somewhere around 6-8 months on the 200. However, on the 200 you will spend 5 months in training, at least.

Seniority determined by last four SSN. 9999 the highest

I was told by an endeavor recruiter that as a reserve FO, you can pick up open time in a different base than your assigned domicile. What’s the reality of this situation? Is there even any open time to pick up?

Correct. And there is open time available, with very limited restrictions for reserve pilots to pick it up.
