They can only get RR three times in a month vs 10 at 9E. And it’s for 4 hours, paid for 4 hours there vs 8 hours and paid for 4 at 9E.
Reserves can pick up from open time starting 48 hours from beginning of trip. And no manipulation of the reserve grid.
If you want to fly instead of sitting in a crashpad, you’ll do it there. What are reserves averaging at 9E? 10-15 hours per month?
At XJT you can change your reserve flying preference as often as you’d like, not just at the beginning of the month.
Beyond reserve, other work rules are better too. Block or better pay, leg by leg, instead of SAT or better. Better vacation, better soft pay.
Better vacation.
Better health plan for less money.
No co-domiciles.
One could make a strong argument that their CPP is miles ahead of DGI.
Pay is comparable as new FO, but lags at the CA rates. But big bonus in play right now.
Oh, and they are getting 175s.

Haven’t looked at all of them, but I’ll use XJT’s as an example.

I don't think they care about stage and phase checks, just actual check rides and incidents/accidents. None of those are a deal breaker, but you need to own up to them, own up to responsibility and make it a learning experience.

With the premium for pickup of all open time, I don't think you'll get better reserve grid language. I have a hard time seeing a future where you can have both. You might be able to keep premium for trips that touch red days, but it'd be a cost to allow pilots to drop trips at straight time and another pilot to immediately pick it up at premium.

Being a lineholder is a great gig here. I love it. I see a lot of pilots on reserve and I'm willing to give up some stuff if needed to keep the reserve guys happy. Because if growth never comes, the GDI stays where it's success rate wise, or God forbid we lose airframes, reserve guys will leave so fast our heads will spin, and then guess whose gonna be dealing with the reserve rules?
The future is bright right now, theres no denying it, but if things go crazy again we'd better be sure we're happy with everything in this contract.
Who knows, maybe this is all meaningless because growth is around the corner and delta is gonna give us all numbers tomorrow. My guess would be Endeavors best days are behind us.
