Default Captain upgrade

Hi,

Just wondering what is the current projection for New hire FO’s when it comes to upgrade. I know a while back Endeavor was calling it at 18 months but does it change now with the current over staffing?

I have job offers with Skywest, RAH & PSA. But Endeavor has been my top choice since I started training about two years ago, I just feel Endeavor has a clear path to a Delta or at least that’s what I think. I’ll meet my ATP mins soon, I know Endeavor is not conducting interviews which is disappointing.

18-24 months is still the projection, lost 18 pilots in Jan - 9 captains. They are interviewing, all classes filled until September at the moment. Projecting next round of growth Q3-4 of 2019.

A bunch of people are bewildered and will tell you that upgrades are more than 24 months away. Yes, the last vacancy was thin - but it was a February vacancy and it’s the slow time of the year. Still a great place to work.

But you are going to NYC more than likely and reserve is 9-11 months.

Endeavor might have the clearest path to Delta, but it's far from a clear path. The DGI forces Delta to give you an interview. It doesn't force them to score you any differently.

If I read it right, junior upgrades were running about two years in November. Things stagnated for a few months in the fall, so it'll probably be somewhere between two and a half to three years for the near future. Those times could change if we get Brand X's planes as company advertises, though we're currently fat on both captains and FOs.

9E is a great place to work, don't get me wrong. I like working here a lot. There's a reason that there's a wait to get in. For a regional, the pay and QOL are great. It's not currently the place for a quick upgrade, though, and it's not a guarantee to Delta.

25 years. 1993 hire was the sole upgrade on the latest vacancy. Might have changed on the final, but too discouraged to check.

If you want to upgrade go to Envoy or GoJet.

There were 2016 hires on the final who upgraded and received ATL 900

Ok, thank you. I guess “the traditional way” of Delta scoring your application maybe is the clearest and most fair path to Delta.

I hate to break it to you but of the 18 pilots that left 9E last month, only 1 went to Delta and it was an FO.

There are 12 pilots going to Delta in March, 11 of whom are Captains. There are 22 interviews scheduled in March, all Captains, with 22 more waiting to be scheduled. Again, all captains. This all in addition to normal attrition. But why let facts get in the way.
