Exactly! A decent chuck of the FO's who voted yes did so so they could hold on to a paycheck long enough to find work elsewhere. And it's now being proven. Tons of 5,6,7 year FOs are leaving for other regionals/majors/exiting the industry. In the mean time, they were collecting paychecks. They didn't do it because they blindly believed in management's ability to run an efficient company and turn things around.

That is only part of the big picture...

Delta is buying Compass, renaming them ASA (since the name is available) and buying ExpressJet from SKW in exchange for half of Pinnacle's 900s. Then Delta will change EpressJet's name to Comair, and spin off Endeavor after running them through another sham BK and renaming them Mesaba. Then Delta will sell the new ASA (formerly Compass) to Mesaba (formerly Endeavor, formerly PinaColAba) and shut down Comair (formerly ExpressJet, formerly ASA) because they hate the name.

This may sound confusing, but it makes perfect sense to the folks in ATL.

Boomer nails it yet again.

Explain to any current 9E FO, capped at $37/hr for years to come, with no upgrade in sight and flying for an airline that's shrinking its fleet, how in the world is it that we have a bright future ahead.

Funny how even in our own 9E forum all the guys trying to cheer the group are the super senior ones who are sitting on the left, chatting about their coming delta interview and such. Those are the cats telling the rest of us future is bright.

Of course they are saying that! The senior CAs know the SSP will get them an interview, but only if there are still FOs who show up to work. If every FO left, Endeavor would come to its knees. They couldn't downgrade fast enough then to keep up with the massive fallout. Don't fall for it. There are no future upgrades like the seniors would have you believe. They are writing that in hopes that you (the FO) will stick around. If you are a FO at endeavor, realize that there is no opportunity worth sticking around for as the seniors would have you believe.

Me thinks ShyGuy wants us to shutter this place.

Uncanny, just overheard R.A. with that exact plan of action on his cell phone call to the board of directors.

Lol. Nope. At BEST, I'd be holding a CA spot in DTW (barely) with a dicey commute while waiting for my turn to interview in the SSP hoping I don't blow it. More likely I'd be booted back to the right seat on the -900 in JFK making a fraction of what I was before. No regrets here.

No, but IMO that decision lies in management hands but in reality it is going to come down to FO attrition and the lack of ability to attract newhires. If they can't find pilots then downgrading CAs can only work for so long.

I just got an email asking me to apply, but uuuuuuuhh, I already work here. I'm guessing it was auto sent from airline apps. Gave me a laugh.
