Got the same thing. They must be going through old airline apps that targeted Pinnacle.

Lets see...leave TSA where I'm probably going to upgrade next spring to go to Endeavor where I'd be lucky to see the left seat in 10 years, while being capped at 4 years ($37 an hour) on the FO pay rates. Probably looking at furlough if Delta goes through with its plans to park the 200s at some point.....takes a lot of thought....

NOPE

Delta is buying Compass, renaming them ASA (since the name is available) and buying ExpressJet from SKW in exchange for half of Pinnacle's 900s. Then Delta will change EpressJet's name to Comair, and spin off Endeavor after running them through another sham BK and renaming them Mesaba. Then Delta will sell the new ASA (formerly Compass) to Mesaba (formerly Endeavor, formerly PinaColAba) and shut down Comair (formerly ExpressJet, formerly ASA) because they hate the name.

This may sound confusing, but it makes perfect sense to the folks in ATL.

LOL. Boomer rules. You forgot to add while filing bankruptcy to invalidate each pilot contract and cutting pay rates even more......

So this has nothing to do with New hires but I thought it was funny so i will share. I was in the hotel van the other day with 2 other crews. One a 900 crew and one a 200. There were 3 FA's and 4 Capts. Now that was a pretty cool crew. Of course 2 of the "capts" were downgraded Colgan guys that felt they were above going back to 3 stripes. I thought it was funny because what are the chances you end up in a van with 2 tools at the same time. One of them sat like a little kid in the back seat with his head basically on the seat and knees up on the chair in front of him(almost to the head rest) and played on the phone the entire 25 min van ride with out talking to anyone. Mean while everyone else talked to each other. I know I am being a jerk right now judging 2 guys that refused to go back to 3 stripes and how someone was sitting but what can I say sometimes you have to vent. I also have other thoughts based on the SLI but I do not want to get SHY worked up.

Perhaps they don't have 3 stripes in the new gold color??? Anyone from Colgan and Mesaba that was a captain when the uniforms were all changed only got captain stripes. For them their old 3 stripes are silver. And with no uniform allowance and the obsurdly low FO pay, I don't blame them for it one bit.

I try to take it easy on the electronics when in groups so as to be more open to that crazy face to face interaction*.....the trouble is many times everyone else is playing with their phones. As a minimum I like to ask the FA how things are going, since a busy day can mean very little interaction with them, and I feel bad about that!

*Yes, I realize I may be a bit of a hypocrite for saying this on a forum.

I received the same email, and I am probably just getting caught up in semantics here, but...

" As a part of our long term business plan, Endeavor Air is excited to announce that we are hiring pilots to support growth in Delta Connection flying in 2014 and 2015."

Is there something I'm missing? I thought *at best* Endeavor was keeping the current fleet, but more likely still parking a few planes...just maybe not as many so quickly. Maybe a block hour increase?

Far 117 is a 10% staffing increase. Planes are not leaving in the near future, instead we have -900's arriving, unless we can't get FO's to staff them. Read it as you will... That's brass tax.

Thank you for your reply. The confusion was mine.
