Realistically what would the upgrade look like for a new hire? I would say never as it stands now, even if Delta is so kind to leave some 200's around. This is a brutal industry.

Anyone thinking about applying to Endeavor: There is a reason why everyone is bailing and jumping ship. The airline is shrinking and they downgraded dozens and dozens of captains back to FO. They only need FOs to cover all of the guys leaving and the massive training events going on now. Once they catch up they will start furloughing. It's a disaster. Don't go. I came from there and know how toxic of a place it is. Stay away.

You can make more money working at Burger King and get free double whoppers w/cheese, a option you could never afford at a regional.

I'd take a 91 gig than go back to that place called an airline, they make republic look good

Our own CEO said that any pilot that applied here needs his/her head examined.
That should be enough right there.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this is quite accurate. There are downgrades due to the "misinterpretation" of the Bloch award, but only because other people are upgrading due to the misunderstanding. In plain English- we are downgrading because of upgrades. So it's really a wash? And definitely not "dozens and dozens." And I highly doubt furloughs with as many as are trying to jump ship.

No..there are actually quite a few downgrades and no upgrades...dozens is accurate. The discrepancy is over who is downgrading.

There definitely are dozens and dozens of downgrades without upgrades to replace the downgrades. Bottom line is that it's a dead-end job for a new hire. There are better positioned airlines out there to work for. SkyWest has been a well run profitable company preparing for future business with the majors. Compass is hiring with guaranteed movement with the flow (as of today) with a product Delta likes, e.g.. no 50-seaters.

All we can go off of is what has been made public by the airline leaders. RA says they will reduce 50 seat airplanes to roughly 150 airframes. RA has said that Endeavor will be an 80 airframe company with all CRJ900s. Everything else is all speculation. A new hire can't look at that situation and say it's a great career move when as of today the airline is poised to shrink. Endeavor needs FOs now to cover the amount of FOs leaving for greener pastures. They're downgrading captains to cover the FO positions now! How can someone look at that and say "I don't care about the concessionary contract in place and that I am capped at 4 year pay as FO and I don't care that I'll be an FO 7 years from now capped at 4 year pay. I like being a junior FO in JFK sitting ready reserve and commuting. Life will be great"?

Until Delta says Endeavor will keep the majority of their 200s for several years and keep getting 900s as scheduled then it's a no brainer to stay away. I was a 6 year FO there with NO chance of upgrading and losing seniority in MSP with each realignment that came out. Things are moving backwards there for the junior guys.

When Delta comes out and says they will be growing the airline and keeping the 200s then I will eat my words. Til then, it's all speculation.
