It's cute that everyone forgets that American Eagle Airlines did the same thing! They voted in concessions.

They were asked to take concessions again and said no. They called AAG's bluff. Too bad it wasn't a bluff.

I really have to wonder why we let ALPA fund these money losing MECs that just want to play hardball. I mean, ASA/XJT could have had a contract ages ago but nope, they decided to hold it up all for PBS.

ShyGuy, you should know better - you went to a non-Union shop... Good luck with the organizing drive.

The only difference is 9E would be in negotiations right now and we now how good management is at drawing out negotiations. 9Es situation is nothing like PSA or Piedmonts.
How can you be so sure of this. Delta was not in BK. A BK judge looks out for the creditors not the company wanting to buy a busted company. The Pinnacle management company could have had a better time forcing a deal through a judge, but not Delta. Delta would have to show that the labor contract is in fact the reason for BK, also since you no longer working as a Delta contract carrier, if Delta buys you, it would be difficult to show that Delta could not afford to pay your old labor rates. The entire business model changed. No, the only way to get screwed as hard as you did is to vote for it.

you are assuming that Delta owned 9e when they went into bankruptcy. They did NOT. 9e was a publicly traded company. Delta purchased them AFTER the bankruptcy to get cheap feed. it doesn't matter who "wants to by you." The only thing the judge cares about legally is the present, not the future owners. The judge literally told the company "change this and this and I will give you what you seek."

How did Pinnacle offer their pilots Delta interviews in a labor contract.

The pay rates on APC are accurate. Yes, we get block or better with a 4 hour min day. Unless you live in NYC I wouldn't come here...and even then...I live in NY, don't commute, and I am even considering a lateral move now. FO attrition has been going through the roof and if it outpaces CA attrition the companies plans go to hell again. More downgrades!!!

So? B6 was up until very recently also non-union. Would one not go to a carrier because it wasn't union? There is no shortage of pilots that went over to B6 and VX. That having been said, it's time at VX to get ALPA.

Well mgt has to reap what they sow. But now that they have publicly announced parking more planes, from 50 to 25-30 by end of 2015, it is reasonable to assume that means more downgrades and no chance for a legacy 9E FO to upgrade. At this point, it isn't worth sticking around and a lateral move to Compass or PSA (especially PSA) is a much better alternative.
