Maybe, maybe not. Just gonna have to wait until Monday. This isn't 7th Grade English, Cant go digging into language to find deeper meaning. It's obviously a very large vacancy and they didn't want to F it up with miss awards. I'm happy they are trying to do it right the first time but it would have been more professional if they told us at noon and not after a couple hundred guys sat at their computer for half an hour hitting refresh every 5 seconds.
Very curious to see how it all shakes out. |
Is there anything we can do about bag parking in the JFK crew room? Every time I show up I have to move bags away from the door just to get in.... I know we have a ton of people in JFK now but it is ridiculous how people just drop there bags 3 feet from the door.

The Company was concerned that errors would occur if the awarding process was rushed, and therefore made the decision to delay until Monday to ensure a correct award is published the first time. The new timeline (which will allow a full withdrawal period) is as follows"
Does this insinuate most if not all captain and first officer positions in ATL were lateral moves? And when that happens those 900 CA vacancies now need to be filled. And they are filled by current 200 CAs. Those leave 200 CA vacancies in NYC. So, 1 vacancy creates 3 training events. This is not what the company wants. |

I think there were MORE 900 CA to ATL 200 CA movements than the company thought.

Where did you get that information? 900 to 200 is a pay cutt and 2 yr seat lock. Not saying it isn't true but are you speculating?

There are a number of 900 CAs that live, or double commute in ATL. Going to the 200, even with the pay cut, is a no brainer.
You would think. |

If they are complaining that it is larger than anticipated, that means there were more movements than they had forecasted. So what they will actually do is pause and make sure they have the training capacity to support these movements before they award them. It's all moot. I'm just thinking out loud based on past experiences. |
