Also seeing that the island itself is a few hundred yards away, I don't foresee the city spending billions more to try and connect the two just for a bigger airport, which logistically would be a nightmare for airspace, two jfk sized airports plus ewr all in that area? Ho boy

The past few classes have been roughly 60% LGA, 40% JFK.

No, It was because the conditions there were too good in comparison to the closet, err, I mean "crew room" we already have. :D:o
