Everyone here should read this thread.

Takeaways:
Customers like Delta because of the people (hey, that's us!) and IROP recoveries/treatment (that's partially us too).

Customers don't like CRJs.

Customers like Woodford Reserve.

I'll say it, CRJ900 > ERJ175.
Bins on the 175 fill up way too fast. I don't mind pink tagging.

Exactly. It's the same group of maybe 10 crusty farts on this thread constantly complaining. Just a whole bunch of me me me me attitude. No one will ever convince them to go above and beyond the absolute bare minimum, so why bother? Can't teach an old disgruntled dog new tricks. Just have to wait until Ole Yeller gets taken out back. Like you said, those that take pride in what they do will make the announcement, try to provide a better experience to the customer(who pays our salary), and won't complain about it. 30 seconds of your time in the galley isn't a safety issue. There's a reason the guys that are still around complaining, are the guys that are still around complaining.

Maybe if you jump up and down and wave your hands around with your hat on as you do your little dance during your PA someone will notice you and you will land that big job. Let me know how that goes.

Generally the people who want to progress their careers and be successful in life will go above and beyond the call of duty and won't stop until they obtain the goals they've set out for. That goes for any career field, not just those of us working to get on with a legacy. So yes, I will wear the hat, I will make PAs in the cabin time permitting, I will do more than you, and I will be here for a much shorter amount of time than you. But please, keep talking your FOs ear off about how you've been screwed...because we all don't talk to each other and know who you guys are or anything.

You will likely still have to fulfill your commitment to the DGI if Delta is your goal.

Oh you gossip about people? How cute. I really hope you are here a shorter time than me that would be fantastic. One less hat wearing monkey I have to deal with.

Yeah it really must be tough to work with people who have a good attitude, work hard, and enjoy what they do...

Cool.

I'll tell all the awesome pilots I know that they just need to keep doing their awesome job for Delta.

It will all pay off for those that go above and beyond.

They will feel better.

Guys like Whoareyou, were hired in on the premise of quick upgrade, and a flow to NWA/Delta, all to "work hard", at a job that paid $20K. They then spent 7 years in the right seat, had the flow canceled, with a pay cut, and then told no in the SSP, which was sold by Lee Moak as a handshake affair, so Delta could quickly rid itself of CRJ200s.

I know who he is, flown with him a couple times, and never heard him complain until the shtf.
