Kudos to last nights' Crews.

Clearance, Endeavor ... We'd like to file IFR to LGA.....

While the airplanes might be shifted, the actual amount of block hours/base may not change. As it stands, a lot of MSP and DTW 900 trips flow through NYC. We could probably just do a little more of that.

And we will probably stop having NYC trips that all flow through DTW, MSP, and CVG.

I said it a few posts ago, I don't think MSP900 will get any bigger but the amount of shrinkage could be limited with creative scheduling.

Yup. We did, with Dispatch blessing. I'm sure there were some funny looks at our departure field, but once they understood the magnitude of the outage ATC were fantastic. Everyone knows the TAS of their jet, right??
Build the team, pull in all resources, keep smiling and work the problem creatively.
Like i said, Kudos to all. Mainline went back to the gate. #EDVDelivers

If we time out and can't finish or do a pairing, and we were not originally scheduled to exceed duty/FDP limits, do we still get paid for said flying?

Unless you are a reserve, yes. Line holder's trips are pay protected to the original value or what's actually flown depending on the greater value. I would definitely get a PDF of the contract to store on your phone/tablet, or at the very least bookmark http://pclmec.alpa.org/ to reference

Is it just me, or has there been very little communication from management regarding the IT outage...? I thought last time they were more proactive about that. Perhaps my memory does not serve me that well?

I think this one may be less of a CF than the last one. Still doesn't look great though.

Ed sent out a communication about an hour ago (to all mainline employees at least) and made a point to note that the August meltdown cancelled over 2000 flights whereas this one has only cancelled about 250. My guess is he and others don't see this as such a horrible event.

That said, one more of these (if not already) and I think heads need to roll.
