Thanks for the info. I've heard with the flow at American, it's next to impossible to be hired off-the-street, and even more so if you work at one of the wholly owneds. Some of it due to the hiring structure, but some because they don't want to hire from their WOs out of seniority

A former United Captain once told me that you are only hurting yourself if you don't put multiple applications out there. Forget the flows, once you have the minimums and a year of 121 experience start firing out applications to every airline you would want to work for. That way your application has started its way to the top.
If it takes a major 2 years to get back to you then so what. At least that's 2 more years of experience that you can put on your application and resume.

I cannot say in regards to ALL situations, but when I was doing my interview I was told that my chances of getting hired at AA prior to the flow were pretty high. Held to the same standard as any street hire, just quicker than the flow allows. YMMV

That was then and this is now. The 2 years as captain isn't what I'm asking about. It's when the interview is. I was asking what the difference between the two programs is and expressing my opinion that the immediate interview would be much better than waiting two years as a captain JUST to get it then.
You are free to apply to Delta anytime you want. If your good enough
they will call you! I don't think you need to worry about that though. Since your not competitive with off the street prospective pilots just wait
your turn.

All LOA's are subject to change. Don't complain about it and then the MEC will turn it down just like last time. Let Delta figure it out for themselves.

I'm not competitive? Hell, I thought I was but I guess you know best, right? I also guess you don't have an answer to my question since you quoted part of it yet didn't answer any of it? Again, I'm sure you know best and can tell me hell I can't even finish that with laughing at you. I mean I'm crying right now at the ridiculousness of you and your "inputs." Please keep them coming though because I really really care about your opinions/attempted insults and I take them so seriously. Also thanks for going digging to find that when we've already moved along to other things here. Keep trying? Yeah, you do that.

Why are you complaining about being highest paid regional FO with a guaranteed interview at a major? If you don't like it quit complaining
and do something, or at least get a room with turkey to get your mind off
your misery!

Jaysus Christ you moron. For the last time, we DON'T have a guaranteed interview! That's what this whole thing is about! You know, I just can't deal with you if you're such an idiot you didn't know that. I'm truly at a loss for words with you Nancy.

There is about a 6 month stretch of the seniority list that doesn't currently get a guaranteed interview of any type. The ones more senior are part of the SSP program, the more junior ones are part of the current new hires deal. The ones in the middle of those programs have nothing guaranteed (interview wise, they do get the retention bonus money like everyone else)
