If I had to guess, Delta is probably done with concrete ASA's. There is no appetite for regional IPO's in the future for Wall Street. Delta can operate wholly owned airlines with full flexibility, and none of the risk.

That's true, but with the retention money, FO pay (with proper budgeting) is manageable for a year waiting for a Delta class. Some guys can now afford to sit with a nice schedule and no risk of a pink slip that could cost them a Delta class rather than commute to JFK to sit reserve.

Ok, I see what you're saying. Not a bad idea...

If that is the case, the vacancies would have been posted sooner and there would have been some mention of it from mainline. It's good things are not all negative there, but there is no need to live in a dream world.

Why open vacancies for aircraft coming out in aug? This is the correct time. Read the flight ops updates.

The flight ops updates don't give anything official. We have no idea how long these planes are coming back for either.

We have 26 200s I think now. They refurbished 36 I think. I'm not very smart but if they refurbished 36 I think that's the number they would fly

Mesaba/Delta/Northwest refurbished the Saabs right before they went back to the lessor and off to Silver.
