I understand Compass and Skywest and the West Coast, but my kid is going to college back east next year and I'm leaving the yoga, granola and Pacific Ocean behind.

TYS looks really nice. Is there a lot of confidense TYS will stay a base for PSA. Endeavor future domicile expansion on the radar?
Endeavor is trying to figure out a southern base, so hang tight and we might have something for you.

Also, Endeavor pay is better by far. Not sure what Chris Reed is referencing. FOs are making +70k with pickups. If you dont want to pick up no biggy, but when that 200% comes up on a turn at end of your 4 day or if you stay a night and work the morning youll probably change your mind. Might have more pay for you December or January.

Counting on pickups and premium time is a big mistake. Especially for a commuter.

This^^

Definitely something to consider if you want to live in base. But those bases all have higher cost of living than any of the PSA bases... So like I said, the two are going to basically be a wash. Pick whichever one offers you less reserve time and has a base you like.

As far as TYS, I think it's just as likely to stay now as it ever has been. If for some reason in the future PSA decided to close a base, I don't think TYS would be at the top of the list. It's a nice city and the crews there are all pretty tight-knit. It's called the "PSA country club" for a reason. Low cost of living and many of the same recreation possibilities that more expensive cities like Asheville have to offer only at much cheaper costs.

PSA is still adding at least 35 more airplanes. Combine that with our current flow and attrition, it doesn't take long to move up the list quickly.

People hired 2 years ago are at ~50% on the seniority list. That will pick up.

At PSA, no line holder will ever work a holiday or any particular day unless they want to. Even the most junior line holders can SAP to get Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, 4th of July, and Arbor Day off. That is something that no one else can claim.

The SAP is the best QOL tool in the entire regional industry.

Personally, I take at least a 14 day break every couple of months. I do this without having to use any of my vacation time. If I use 1 week of my vacation, I can get 21 days off in a row without any issue. We get 2 weeks of vacation starting year 2, so you can do it twice a year.

Can attest to that currently on a 3 week vacation thanks to the sap, did the same 2 months ago. Knoxville is the place to be!! Small airport, good crews, and cheap living. Not hit hard by winter either..

Another thing about TYS is Tennessee has no state income tax. I spent some active duty time in TYS back in the 1980s...great people in the TYS area.

TYS.... No income tax sounds good. Do they get you with property taxes? Looks like lots of lakes too. Good fishing? I'm digging TYS! College town too.

Uhm sales tax is like 9.5% I think. Not sure about anything else just know its good and cheap. We have quite a few commuters who come to Knoxville just for the atmosphere even though CLT would be easier. Id give it a shot, I moved here right after training..definitely wouldnt hesitate doing it again.
