Envoy Captain Upgrades now under 2 years!

For new people inquiring about AAG regionals I'd like to make a comment that is juxtaposed to the above statement. While Envoy pilots, flight attendants, ground crew and staff clearly work for Envoy I would like to inform you of some of the shared AAG/American benefits you have working for the wholly owned AAG regionals.
1- your paycheck deposit (electronic) states American Airline. Does it come from American? Don't know, don't care.
2- your health insurance is administered by AAG/American/BCBS Texas
3- you are eligible for the American Airlines credit union
4- your uniform is made for American Airlines and is labeled American Airlines. Big deal...nope.
5- you have an American Airlines email address [email protected]
6- you flow to American without an interview
7- you have AA flight benefits
Do I work for American ....nope. It's American Airlines minor league. When someone outside the industry asks- who do you fly for? I answer American. If they appear to have some level of intelligence... Envoy. I don't think most people don't care enough to know the difference.

I'm sure that's the only thing you have in common with an American Airlines pilot. I can't wait till you flow in a decade and start whining about these punks at the regionals getting all the chicks with lies.

Pretty wound up.....Relax. Re-read my post. To the average passer-by/ stooge/uninitiated, I tell them AA...saves them the unfortunate experience of eyes glazing over in boredom while I then explain the nuances/partnerships/wholly owned and hub and spoke system. They don't care enough to know the difference. To those with an ounce of perceived interest, I tell them Envoy. I'm not embarrassed to work for a regional/Envoy.
