American Airlines B-scale is more accurate.

1- your paycheck deposit (electronic) states American Airline. Does it come from American? Don't know, don't care.
2- your health insurance is administered by AAG/American/BCBS Texas
3- you are eligible for the American Airlines credit union
4- your uniform is made for American Airlines and is labeled American Airlines. Big deal...nope.
5- you have an American Airlines email address [email protected]
6- you flow to American without an interview
7- you have AA flight benefits

Do I work for American ....nope. It's American Airlines minor league. When someone outside the industry asks- who do you fly for? I answer American. If they appear to have some level of intelligence... Envoy. I don't think most people don't care enough to know the difference.
Obviously you don't work for AA, especially since you can "apply" to them anytime.... Im saying he probably actually believes he works for them. Regardless of what civilians know about the industry.

I do tell whoever ask me that I work for American. Nothing wrong with that. For crying out loud, we do DFW-Calgary!

I'm sure that's the only thing you have in common with an American Airlines pilot. I can't wait till you flow in a decade and start whining about these punks at the regionals getting all the chicks with lies.

Own your job! You work for Envoy! Saying "I work for American" is like saying "I work for Donald Trump" because I pay his salary with my taxes

It's more like telling your buddies you work for Yum brands when you really just fry the chicken at KFC

Why do you wish him disappointment and regret?

Pretty wound up.....Relax. Re-read my post. To the average passer-by/ stooge/uninitiated, I tell them AA...saves them the unfortunate experience of eyes glazing over in boredom while I then explain the nuances/partnerships/wholly owned and hub and spoke system. They don't care enough to know the difference. To those with an ounce of perceived interest, I tell them Envoy. I'm not embarrassed to work for a regional/Envoy.
