A little perspective January 2012 BK. Then threats to shut the company down, least desired regional to work for, very few applications, abysmal upgrade times. 2017, one of the most desired regionals, much quicker upgrade. This business is all about luck and timing.

Our rsv is still one of the worst. They keep making more and more standby shifts, sitting home on rap is now impossible.

what are they doing for the number of chairs in the quiet room these days? That used to be a way to get out of ready reserve shifts way back in the day.

Yes, envoy's reserve system isn't as nice as it was pre-bankruptcy, USAir takeover, & FAR117 but it's no worse than all the other regionals now. Can you name me another regional that allows its reserve pilots proffer for open trip? Even one? (they isn't one) |

So to be clear, your complaint is that envoy's rsv system is the worst because a pilot actually has to come and work in order to get his paycheck and not sit at home to get paid to do nothing. It's comments like this that make millennials look bad. If you think it is so unfair to have to actually do something in order to get a paycheck, maybe you could just call Mommy and Daddy and ask them for an allowance in return for playing video games and supervising the housekeeper while she cleans your room for you.

I am not saying everyone should be able to get it, but again maybe the top 15% or so should be able to hold that. In reality though, at the current rate, reserve isn't lasting "that" long. I hear stories of sitting reserve for multiple years, which to me sounds horrifying but whatever. Its because of these shorter reserve times that the are more concerned with domicile displacements and the such as that is more of a long term issue for all of us. The company wants to grow and get more planes. More planes equal more lines, more pilots, more flowing and faster movement. Whatever it takes to get more aircraft on property is a plus to me. |

Do other regionals get paid more to drive to the airport and jerk off for 8 hours+ Do New York guys have to pay tolls every time they go to and from the airport? You sir are the problem. |

Would any newer FOs mind posting their June schedules? Just wondering what a typical month looks like. Thanks.
