Length wise it is. The fuselage cross section is like an egg though. Pretty narrow on top. I remember thinking the 757 had more elbow room.

I heard that the CFI's in the pipeline programs will be able to go in as a direct entry CA on it.

I don't think bunks and a lav really count as the cockpit. In fact there is separate name for them....bunks and a lav. The 747 cockpit is very narrow....depending on the version the cockpit can be longer, but what does that do for you when are sitting in the seat I have no idea.
