You gotz a problem with the CVG waterfront, cowboy? Or the GNV hotel with the patties across the street? Or TLH with more kitties than a pet shop? And I'm not talking about cats. MIA flying all kinds of good...
Oh, and the talent in the MIA airport is Grade A. They don't even mind my creepy looks as I partially hide behind the wall with the fish artwork.

TLH is one of the worst hotels in the system
GNV is ok, but nothing exceptional
Zero FPO, NAS, or EYW overnights in the MIA bid packet.
Yes, I agree, most of the good flying remains with Republic.

CVG - almost all overnights are at the Holiday Inn now, which has inoperable A/Cs, very few food options, and rude front desk staff

Very close proximity to a sketchy neighborhood. I talked to some crewmembers that were hassled by some locals, granted, it was after dark. Dirty, out-of-date rooms; horribly slow, nearly unusable wifi; and I have yet to get a wakeup call that I signed up for there. There are a few food choices around, and a mall within walking distance, but, be prepared to frogger it across a pretty busy highway. We used to be in downtown Tallahassee at a really nice Hilton property right next to FSU campus, but now we're at this craphole. Trade out of it if you can.

Looks like ORD is getting rid of the flight ops manager and sending her down to Miami. I'm wondering how much head butting is going to be happening down there.
Are they going to have a CP down there or just a flight ops manager?

From what I've heard, her and CW are going to pull double duty and manage MIA. So I guess CW is the chief pilot down there for now? Someone based there prob has better info.

It is my understanding that AA likes the RJ;s for their flying. AA appears to like taking flying away from ML and shifting it down to the WO for lower costs, as I was advised.
Besides it doesn't make a lot of since to cut out the AA E-175EW from a company (RAH) where AA owns about 1/3 of the company to shift it to the WO.
This stranger things have happened - Like closing the ORD & MIA bases.
IMMHO.

If any of you MIA or NY E145 guys want to gripe about your overnights...please, please come talk to us DFW 145 guys. We'll put it all into perspective for you. At least out of MIA you get 3 hour legs back and forth to CVG, CLE, hell...even PNS and TLH clock in over an hour.
Out of DFW? We are doing paper plane runs to ACT, TXK, CLL, GRK, and ABI all day every day. Bastards even took away our ROW and gave it to the 175. The only advantage to being a DFW 145 Captain is not having to bid against all the grey haired lifers...most of whom have scurried over to the 175. So even us young whipper snapper Captains on the 145 can get the schedules, OT, and vacation blocks that we want without having to worry about all the Gramps taking it from you.
