Calling me bitter..... If you only knew! I have had it better then the fast majority of the pilots here. My QOL and pay has been far above what other pilots have experienced here. I want him and other new hires to have the experience I have had. Sadly it isn't offered to guys with prior 121 time. I live in DFW and see my wife and kids at least 330 days out of the year.

I would definitely like to hear more about this displacement too. I would love to come to Envoy, but I think that is a dealbreaker for me. I have six years of 121 time in my past, all as an FO, but it's been four years since I've even been in an airplane. I would probably be comfortable to do that after six months to a year on line but straight out of FO school no way. The scary thing is there are some overconfident chest thumping super pilots out there that will think they can pull it off when they have no business being in the left seat.

You little tool. Do you have a 1000 hour 121 time? No! Did the company displace you out of seniority? No!
Did the company not just displace DFw pilots to LGA out of seniority because they had 1000 hr 121 time??
I'm not bitter. I just speak the truth. If a pilot doesn't have 121 time then it's a good time to come to Envoy. If you have 1000 hrs of 121 time then the company is going to do to you what it just did to 50 FIFTY!!!!!!! Pilots that had 121 time. And don't call me bitter. I want to be able to tell the guy yes come to Envoy. You will be able to get DFW soon and keep it. How did that just work out for 50 new hires this past year that came in with 121 time????

Thanks everyone for the thoughts. Especially thanks to the private messages. This is good information - good, bad or indifferent. I have ~500 hours ERj 121 time. Sounds like a displacement is a possibility, but not a certainty. I’ll factor this in to my consideration. Fly safe and Gig ‘em!

Sounds like the bids come out every 3 months, next one should be in January. If you time it right you can maximize your right-seat time by choosing a class date shortly after the next bid. Then you wouldn't be displaced for at least 3 months. I know it's not much but just something to think about.
