In short, ALPA went to bat for him, and got a positive result. The reps did a great job in a short amount of time. Not really any explanation from CS other than he was removed.

I love how they float these things to see what they can get away with. Fortunately the union seems to have nipped this one in the bud. I remember the multiple day junior mans running rampant last year - that was another test balloon that wasn't shot down nearly as quickly.

This is just one of many examples why it doesn’t matter what RSV LOA gets voted in. Until that she devil is removed as CS manager this will keep up. You think the schedulers come up with these ideas? Nope! Comes from the top down.

This is why I stress to FOs that they need to have a pretty good understanding of the contract. If they think they're getting screwed - they probably are. They need to look stuff up in the contract, and challenge CS if they think it's wrong. If they don't get it fixed, they need to call their reps. I think the biggest fear a lot of new FOs have is getting fired because they're on probation, but if the contract is being broken, it's being broken - it really doesn't matter that they're on probation. Challenge CS politely, then call the rep. They will fight for ALL pilots, regardless of status with the company.
