On the 175 last year I averaged about 60 flight hours a month, went on reserve starting January, I’m at 10 hours and hope to keep it around that for the rest of the year

I think there is a race to be at the bottom of the flight time list.

And it will stay that way until changes are made. Don’t worry though, high value aviators are inbound to save the day!

Yup. I am not upgrading until I want to upgrade. This mandatory stuff is for the birds. I have a good QOL and make decent money, so once the summer is over, then maybe I will allow myself to pass 1000 hours. Fix the reserve system and maybe I will think about it.

How do you figure? Credit hours and hours flown are significantly different as you would know yourself.

I think I’ve averaged about 78 actual Flight hours a month, credited an average of 120-130 a month. Only once went down to min days off, most other months I’ve had 12-13 days at home which includes picking up some OT. Admittedly living in base makes life a lot easier as it doesn’t really matter when you start or finish.

I’m not talking about credit vs actual time flown. I’m talking about getting 850 hours in less than a year of flying. Most of the people on here would consider you working your A$$ off or you must really want to upgrade.

How does that equate to working more for the same pay as per your previous post? That just doesn’t add up.

Because I flew 365 hours in a year including lots of overtime and got paid the same or close to the same as you. Hence the 75 hour of pay we get each month no matter what flying we do, plus any Overtime BUT I ONLY FLEW 36 hours that month you flew 78 actual hours in the airplane I flew 36 but we both made at least 75 hrs guarantee

That still doesn’t add up. How many hours per month do you credit on average?
