CRJ reserve time?
#11
Feb's bid packet was gross. 5-leg days almost throughout at some point in the trips, lost days - not at home with my family, lots of 4o2o in everything and a ton of trips that finish in base between 2100-2200 local and I live in Eastern time so that's an hour later. (These are true for most of the lines with the exception of a few less-bad ones that obviously go senior.)
Or I could sit near the top of the reserve list and probably be safe just staying home as long as I keep an eye on it. Maybe fly OT during my off days since I'm home on my rsv days. I could have weekends off, and I wouldn't be building time so quickly towards that forced upgrade that would put me on a two-leg commute to LGA 145 reserve.
Holy cow, I think I just convinced myself...

If you qualify for captain: 100% on the next bid, whether you want to or not. Otherwise pretty slim.
Or if you're looking for a specific aircraft/base you could proffer to displace to a different airline.

I’m just starting out with the Airlines no previews 121 experience. So my best bet would be hope that the CRJ go away (but i know it’s airlines and don’t hope until it happens) and the other one would be to go to another airline. I will be moving to love on base in ORD which even if it’s 8 months or so I’ll be okay, no choice.
