Well they can’t say that and restrict flow so they have to have a different stated “plan”

I was in a position similar to you and ended up choosing Envoy for a variety of personal reasons that wouldn't be in play for most people (family in both Envoy and AA flight depts). My advice, knowing nothing about your situation other than what you've already told us, is to either join Envoy as a cadet or don't join Envoy at all right now.
However, if you do not have a 4 year degree and cannot or will not get one (or are otherwise not a competitive applicant for street hire at the real airlines), consider Envoy, PSA, or Piedmont very carefully. I am planning to get the 4 year degree while I’m flying, I’m doing everything online I recently started this year and so far so good. I was thinking that maybe the flow can be considered as a insurance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Another item to consider is that the Cadet/pipeline pilots get first picks of the available aircraft and bases in your new hire class. FYI

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'd probably interview at Endeavor if you are into the east coast before you commit to anything. The main issue with Endeavor is that you'll be waiting a long time for a class date after you interview, not a problem for you since you still have time to build. Not saying they're definitely better than Envoy, but a conditional offer from them will really help you consider one from Envoy in a balanced way. |

Met with Recruitment and confused.
Go somewhere else.. Crew Scheduling here makes up whatever rules they want. The commute to LGA is awful, when it’s your last day don’t expect to get something that will allow you to commute home early enough in the day. Expect to commute the night before for your default 0400 reserve start. Expect to be home 2 nights a week if your lucky. Only come here if you live in Base or plan to move to base. Pay is sub par. You will get 4 commuter hotels which sometimes takes 3 hours to get.
Also... How do you feel about being lied to on the regular? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Go where they value loyalty most.

Hi all this is my first post sub so I apologize if this question has been asked.
I recently spoke with Envoy Recruitment and I’m not really sure if they were blowing smoke up the a** or no. To reference I’m a CFI at a major flight school still around 700 hours off from 1500. With that being said let me continue. 1. When speaking to them about the cadet program they mentioned that there is over 300 active pilots who came out the cadet program. Is this true? Is the cadet program really worth it? 300 sounds right. The biggest value that the cadet program has it that cadets have first choice of equipment/bases in new hire classes. You'd have to be pretty sure that Envoy is the place you wanna be to commit to this obviously. 2. When I browsed the forums I asked about overstaffing and what that means for me and there answer was “ Envoy has a plan and there is a reason for it” ( sounds like a BS management answer but also not so sure) Management stays pretty tight lipped about major plans for the future. A big reason they do stay quiet with specifics is that AAG is so dynamic with their planning and it changes often. But basically they're front loading pilots right now to have the bodies ready for when they need them. More lines are coming for most bases throughout the year, and there are plans for expansion and new bases down the line. They will need to have the staffing, with the current big need being CAs, in order to open the new bases that they'd like to in the future. In a perfect world, they'd love to grow us back to our old size, 3,000+ pilots. Time will tell. 3. When asked about pay and whether it will be met to Republic and Endeavor they answered Envoy isn’t having problems hiring therefore it isn’t on the books??????? (Made no sense to me) Makes perfect sense to me, although I don't like it. They feel they don't need to raise pay if they're getting plenty of pilots coming through the door. They'll act when they feel the need to. We were nearly the last to the party in raising first year pay. They'll hold on until the last possible minute. So with all that being said is Envoy gonna be a place of the future or should I start looking else where. They were really pushing towards me applying at the cadet level but I’m getting mixed thoughts from the forums and messages to Recruitment. I think Envoy will be one of the places of the future. We have more than our share of issues here. That's a dead horse that I don't need to beat. I would definitely go with one of the 3 AA WOs or EDV (Delta WO). WO regionals will have the most security going forward as the legacies really crank up hiring. If you don't care about flow, EDV is the solid choice. QOL, schedules, pay. Between the AA WOs, pick one that you can drive to one of their bases or one that will have the easiest commute. And keep in mind, by the time you have the hours to actually get to a regional, this whole industry will look completely different. Thanks, Sloneckozzz Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That may be doable but the FO friend I have there made $9k in Feb. I made $2900.00 hence the 3x. Mesa has 200% and 300% OT frequently and also pays 12 hours if you come in on a day off and sit reserve.
