Yea but there’s a difference with teaching the SOP and not giving it your all vs going out of your way to provide great instruction and make connections. Every instructor I’ve had has always done a great job being engaged in what they’re teaching. From the class room to sims to the jet I’ve never had a bad experience and always walked away feeling better at my job than I did before.

I interviewed end of Sep, CJO that day with prints and drug test. Then Captains Board results three weeks later with a final welcome aboard email. Then a week ago got assigned an early Dec ATP-CTP date and an Indoctrination class day for mid Dec. No actual start date as of yet but they said they would tell me 7 days ahead of time of when class would start. Not much of a lead time. Sounds like things are definitely bottle necked over there.

Probably like most places, there are good and bad. For the most part those that have come from the line are top notch. MS, for all his quirks, is hands down one of the most knowledgeable guys ever, and he can convey that information. Some of the PSIs literally just read the slides and manuals in ground school and some of the ones doing procedure trainers almost do more harm than good.

I appreciate the info! So if you get a CJO why is there a Captains board? What exactly is a Captains Board? Can they change their mind about your CJO once they get to the Captains Board?

Thanks again,
duckman

the "C" in CJO is "conditional"
"If everything checks out, here's your job offer"
yeah, PRIA can show that a person lied etc - that's what the review is for

Also I hope that duckman isn't your real name
Around these parts "seafood-man" type last names come with a sort of a renown that'll be hard to uphold

You know you're in Texas when duck is considered seafood...

15 bodies, or whatever it was in the pic that recruiting posted of today's class, is not going to cover attrition.... Fun times.
