Can we revisit this topic?

Good day. Curious to know what are the differences between these regionals in 2021

E175 vs CRJ vs E145

Location, location, location.

Curious about this as well.

Other than the "go where you don't have to commute" what makes one better than the other. I do not mind both bases.

Agreed

Exactly what I’m thinking.

Reality is that AAG has tried to level the playing field within the WOs. Hourly pay and retention bonuses are supposed to be the same now. If you are already typed in the aircraft they fly, all offer an additional bonus. PSA and PDT both have opportunities for quick upgrade if you have the time. ENY doesn’t yet. Still quite a few qualified FOs with time waiting for the seniority to upgrade.

Other details of the contracts vary, but few people have firsthand knowledge of the contract details or QOL from more than one. You’re going to have to pick the details out from the individual forums and do the comparison yourself.

Short of that, it still comes down to domicile choice.

It also comes down to if you're end goal is AA or not. You'll have a much easier transition to AA from Envoy. That's because they litterally piggyback on just about all of AA's systems, infrastructure and software. So, when you do flow, you already know just about everything about how to use the company computer systems, rules & regulations are practically identical.... you essentially only need to learn your new plane, and your new CBA.

Other than that, each of the three has good points and bad points. That's up to you to pick your poison.

Not really. Contract and implementation are different. The apps are different, and how you interact with the company are different. Yes, you know a few sabre commands, but I can't say as I have used saber more than 3 times in the last 3 years.

Plus, if hired today, your chances to flow to AA is probably 1% or less.

No first hand knowledge but based on reading the forums over the years, I’d put contractual quality of life at the three as PSA > ENY > PDT. That SAP thing I’ve heard PSA guys talk about sounds awesome and it sounds like pretty much everyone at PDT is down to 11 days off every month. I wouldn’t put PSA over Envoy if I lived in an Envoy 145 domicile but I’d steer clear of PDT.

The implication there is it is highly unlikely the Regional model will remain intact as it is for 7 to 9 years from today if you go to a wholly owned carrier counting on the flow. There will be a lot if challenges and disruption in this model over the next three years due to the majors hiring surge. Get in. Get your time. Move on. Don’t get comfortable at a Regional.
