The answer is they won't. Food for thought. |

Don't forget that runs somewhat behind, figure 7500 tops the second year. And then you upgrade.

Yep, I was nearly half way into my second year before I even saw a retention bonus.

So as a Jan 2018 new hire should I even expect a retention bonus? Are they still being given? If so, about when will it show on epay?

You should see your first bonus in June, you started in Jan so your timer starts at the 2nd quarter bonus since the first was already underway. You'll still get 8 quarters' worth of bonuses, assuming you don't upgrade before they expire. You'll see it pop up in epays towards the end of June.

Does that include the $10,000 retention bonus that Envoy FO gets?

He was talking about 2nd year FO pay rates. Is there a 2nd year FO who wasn't lucky to get bonuses as a new hire?

Yes I upgraded at 18 months in. That included flying the 1000 hours needed
I'd email pay comp and complain. |

I'd email pay comp and complain. I got my first retention bonus on my 17th month. All in line with the terms. Now that's not exactly how it was presented to me when I was 'recruited' but as long as I had an opportunity to receive all 8 checks, I think that I could live with that even with a delay in payment. However, with the forced upgrades and no bonus if you're captain, there's no way to collect on all 8. None. Telling new-hires they'll get $20k in retention bonuses is criminal. |

I'd email pay comp and complain. Unless of course you hide out and don’t fly |
