As far as that goes, Envoy has the “Group” rates, so it isn’t really aircraft specific. And our number of “heavies” is increasing as well, albeit very slowly, so our overall rate should go up as well.

I’m not advocating for ANY kind of blended, banded, or grouped pay rate. I think it should be based only years if service. I realize that some “big boys” have different rates for some of the same type rated aircraft. The way PSA and several other companies have a blended rate, I think, is really kind of ridiculous. Envoy’s pay banding is an abortion of the same concept.
Yes, 145 and 175 have different type ratings, but really no reason to have different rates. It would also give less incentive to merge Envoy and Piedmont if all captains were paid the same. |
