The whole program was scrapped because certifying the planes would mean they couldn’t use them for Canada flying out of Dallas. The logistics would have been an issue.

I wonder how much weight it would be? Republic only has life vests on their aircraft and they have the 160 mile exemption. I think that’s what we had for the ATR as well isn’t it? Just doing that couldn’t add too much weight.

Republic isn't going anywhere anytime soon because they are partially owned by AAG, Delta, and United as part of their most recent bankruptcy restructuring, and their contacts are secured as part of that agreement.
