Unless you made it into Band C. DCL is going so senior, DCE going to DCL will experience a significant pay cut and a lower QOL. Sure you get the good packs in the summer, but you are not going to get the lines and OT you want for a very very long time.
Have you seen the 145 lines lately? In DFW you can’t bid day trips, two day back to backs, or anything over 72 hours. Even the OT is bad, hard to find day trips worth more than 4 hours unless you want to do 4 legs. The lines for DCE were in the toilet before Covid hit. I’m betting a lot of lifers and senior DCE’s will bid over for the improved QOL of the 175. A 12 month flow lock isn’t going to scare many into staying on the 145 now that AA is done hiring for a long, long time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's impossible to say without seeing their 3*.
But if you look at their seniority, Only a few can hold any 175 CA seat. |
How many Direct Entry Caps ya'all have? Do they get downgraded Oct. 1st or is it sometime in 2021?

Is the union talking to the company about revising the voluntary seat lock LOA? I lost 5k with them getting rid of my seat lock. FUPM |

No. If your seat stauts doesn't have a displacement then you cannot proffer to displace from it.
You won’t know who is getting displaced until after the bid is run. Displacements in one status and, and likely will, have ripple effects that create displacements in other statuses. I think that 5 hours a month is gone for the foreseeable future. The company isn’t going to pay it when they don’t need to seat lock anyone. |
We don't have to look too far back to know that when displacements happen, sheet gets crazy. When they ran the CRJ displacements, you had senior guys getting displaced while junior guys stayed in place. All because of the weird way they run Ps and Ds, guys would set themselves up for displacement when they were awarded something they couldn't hold in the second pass. Throwing some downgrades into the mix, I can only imagine the convoluted scenarios that will come out of this.
May the odds be ever in your favor. |
As a somewhat junior DFE Im wondering how the 20 displacements are going to affect the bottom of the reserve list. Im guessing theres plenty 145 FOs wanting to PDIS over to the 175 but theres no way to know for sure. I can commute to either DFW or ORD so at least theres options. If there wont be another vacancy/displacement for a long time I realy want to get this one right, especialy if the 145 goes away
The last thing I want is to be stuck on permanent airport standby |
