I don't think any airline has that kind of min day pay on reserve.
I had "" on my original comment about it, it was just to remind that on reserve you can't be sent to a 4-day trip and only pay you 2 hours.

Not common at all. Actually, almost unheard of.
Some 7-10 hour 3 day-trips (which you can most of the time trade away from to a much more productive 4-day), but the 7-9 hour 4-days in open time are scraps from trips where people pick up the turns from the first or last day.

I'm willing to bet you haven't seen the CRJ bid packets over the last 9 months. Plenty of those trips to go around and routinely showing zero trades available when you're stuck with them. I'm triggered by your cis-airframe autothrottle-privileged DFW-bigoted statement.

I'm willing to bet there hasn't been a new hire that's been hired in the past 9 months that can ever hold a line in the CRJ.

There's people with double that time that never held and will never hold any line on the CRJ.

The 2 new hires that got the CRJ this year were lucky to pick that plane. They both got displaced to the 175. Those spots went junior to 145 spots in those classes.

Eh. I wouldn’t say “common” for a 9 hour four day on a line. That would require all the other trips to be 16 plus hours and that would be a 19 day, 72 hour line. While I agree many lines are certainly not very good, most are not that bad.

Its true they arent usually that bad. But we have all seen and most of us flown those annoying trips. Maybe they are less common but they sure seem annoying to me. Some people like to have a lot of downtime in some moldy hotel away from the city, but id rather be making 20+ hours of pay on a 4 day.
