so if CMH was home wouldn't ENV be better commuting from ORD vs PDT commuting from PHL as for pay both are the same but reserve time is what differs

another thing is their base close to CMH is ORD, PDT have PHL which is close to CMH but don't know if there are daily flights to commute. As far as the 50-seater world goes, I'm less concerned about the top line hourly rate, and more concerned about the bottom line. Flying 50 seaters, you can make more money at most other places despite the lower hourly rates. They make up for it with more productive lines, huge sign-on and retention bonuses, better pay protection, more premium pay, etc. An extra 30 hours of soft pay more than makes up the difference in hourly rates. |

Coming over from PSA
Thinking about coming to envoy from psa for a DFW base. I live in the DFW area and wondering if it’s worth it?

How many years have you been at PSA? If basically a new hire then MAYBE it’s worth it. |

No, because you will be displaced the NY 145 CA and won’t see DFW for quite a while.

yeah basically a new hire 7 months with PSA, so DFW is not doable?
Your best shot is having enough 121 time to still get a 175. You’ll probably end up in ORD and can get to DFW in three to six months. Then you stay on reserve avoiding flying so you can upgrade on the 175 and stay in DFW. But it is all very much a crap shoot. |

Keep your seniority at PSA, stay over there. You’ll be commuting at Envoy too. |

If you play your cards right, you might get to keep your AAG employee number.

Bid a 145 on your hire date and bid reserve monthly until your hire class peers catch up. Should get DFW pretty quick... not in class but probably on the first bid after. Reserve rules are really bad here but mainly on commuters. If you live in base, with just a little bit of seniority, life isn't all that bad on reserve. |
