I've heard they have to be sent back first, for whatever reason, and then sent back to you. I thought this was to remove all the company stuff but maybe there's more to it.

this is what I was told last time I was down at the Mothership. It’s been a few months though, so things may have changed.

New EFB ordering is open. Check your CCI messages for instructions, an FAQ, and order link. An order link icon was pushed to your existing EFB as well; "Order ENY iPad."

Looks like the new iPads will come with the Pivot case. So much for the landscape vs portrait holy war

I’ve never used the pivot case I know Delta uses them, do they not rotate to landscape or something?

it's a square thing you can clip onto whichever way you see fit and it won't affect the next guy/girl's preferences

No, you can still mount it portrait or landscape. But since it's square, the next person won't have to rotate it if they don't like the orientation the last person used.
