Hiring question
I need to get some clarification on this but how hard would it be to get hired by Envoy once you completed all your ratings and the 1500 required hours WITHOUT holding any degrees?
What is the realistic time you would spend on the flow thru program before getting upgraded to the major airline? Thank you |

Why Envoy? Ever shoot a shotgun? One should apply everywhere they ‘may’ want to work. When offered a job, then consider options.
With hours you can get hired somewhere. I’d still try to work towards a degree, don’t put all the eggs in the ‘flow’ basket. |
Getting a degree in something else that you are interested in is almost always a good idea. But definitely a long term goal and hard to do while flying.

my goal is to get a at least an associate but only after I start working for a regional. I just wouldnt have enough time or money to do it during my flight training. I'm just concerned I dont get hired by regionals without one and envoy is on top of my list due to their bases and the flow program they have. PSA is probably option 2

8.5-9 yr flow for new hires right now. We’re no where near the total pilot group number for the post 2016 hires to flow at 6 years. Go somewhere else. |

I am no fan of thkooj. Not one bit. He’s wrong basically daily. But 8.5-9 isn’t accurate either. That projection assumes zero attrition outside the flow. The math isn’t hard to do on your own. It’s literally based on 20/month to your seniority number. It assumes Nobody leaves for delta, United, spirit, Southwest ACMI or just flat out leaves the industry or gets fired.
The union released numbers and it's nothing special. About 4 per month moving on/up outside flow |
