So wait, Envoy hiring on hold, likely for some time but all excited about getting the 175's ? My guess is our CP flown AA owned 175's will be parked with a number of the other AA planes being parked. There will unfortunately be a lot of furloughs across all of the 121 world. WO are not safe, regionals of no sort are safe.

Unfortunately, at least in my circles, the average people seem to read that as "all airlines have spent 96% of their profits over the last ten years on stock buybacks." The average response has been "whatever, let them all file for Chapter 11."
We've actually made some serious gains at the regional level over that time span, and I wouldn't be surprised if we give them all back if we don't get some help.

side note this can be mitigated by a merger IE when AA and UsAir merged, keeping the AA name allowed them to go through this again, had the US air name been kept, they already had 2 bankruptcys and CH 11 would not be an option for them

You can get as upset as you want, but I’ll never be happily “counting down” the day another company’s aircraft show up on property, nor will I smile upon anyone else’s misfortunes. Nice try tho.

Actually I don’t. A lot of the 22-24 year old kids I’ve seen at Envoy are probably a lot quicker to show up to the chief pilot’s office than I. But hey if talking like that on the forum floats your boat, I won’t judge you.

a business can only file CH11 twice. if the legacy's get drug through this again it really would be survival of the fittest after that.

Also, both UAL and DAL have gone through mergers since their last bankruptcy.

For what it’s worth, we got an email today indicating our union is trying to arrange for preferential hiring for former Compass pilots. Of course it does little when we aren’t even hiring, but it’s out there. Comments in the email made it sound like management is indifferent at best but there are guys over here trying to throw a lifeline. Hang in there.
