Who is he even trying to recruit at this point? Pretty much everyone in these threads is on property and knows the working conditions and state of the company. He’s not even on property and is probably about to get furloughed from the company he keeps trying to sell everyone. Times are stressful for everybody right now, we don’t need the bs.

Stockholm Syndrome does that to a person.

Increased numbers

The number of LTLOAs offered was increased to 260. The 14-07 LOA says the leaves of absence offered must be equal to the planned furloughs. This is more than the initial 200 that were articulated, but at least still less than the 350 WARNs sent out.

261 according to the email. That's over 10% now based off of the posted list.

Anyone taking this or know someone who is? I totally would but I fly the wrong plane.

Yeah I am in the same boat.

I've heard people kicking the idea around, but nobody solidly committing to it. The company extended it to the 17th, so we should know within a day or so given how quickly ALPA put out the past VEOP and CSLOA awards.

teamflyer 08-17-2020 02:06 PM

Its been extended till friday

Yeah it seems clear that it isn’t very popular. My guess is due to limiting it to the 145 only.

Shoot if they would just throw in a Texas Roadhouse gift card I’d have already taken it!!!

How about an extra 25,000 advantage miles?

NotChewbacca 08-17-2020 04:08 PM

Or maybe. Just maybe. If they want more people to take it, they should offer it to more people.

Bingo. They are trying to sell a **** sandwich without the cheese.

I'm not even sure how to spell a connoisseur (fact of the matter, my first two attempts before I googled got autocorrected to "dinosaur"), so I'm definitely not one, but would cheese really make a difference?

I dont know, but I love cheese and it seems to make everything better.

I have a feeling that Envoy (and AAG) are trying to wait out Congress hoping that they get a bailout done. They they can say that was the plan the entire time and that they don’t need the furloughs or LTLOA’s.

Even with the additional money, pretty sure the companies want people off the payroll. As long as it is voluntary, it’s not a furlough, which is an acceptable method of reducing the company foot print and reducing the cash hemorrhage.

NotChewbacca 08-21-2020 03:55 AM

Another LTLOA deadline without a CARES act extension. We gonna get yet another extension to the LTLOA bid? I mean I’m sure there are scores of pilots who need the weekend to consider.

What’s the over under on takers? I’ll start the bidding with 50 (wish it were higher for the new guys sake).

I don’t think we will see more than 20

I’d be shocked if it was near 50. Maybe we will be pleasantly surprised though. Spirit’s pilots sure looked like they got their ******* together. How do we get into that union?

I would be willing to bet they had a better deal offered to them.

You go work for an airline that 100% controls all of its flying. Southwest, Spirit, JetBlue, and Frontier don’t have regional carriers feeding them. The buck starts and ends with them. Envoy has zero leverage. We are a staffing company that only has pilots. We don’t own planes, we don’t own routes/slots, and we don’t own terminals. We are a cost center.

This guy gets it.

SilentLurker 08-22-2020 09:16 AM

No leverage during a down cycle. Sucks!

5-7yr recovery is a high probability.

Good luck during these hunger games.

So i hear mainline APA is saying furloughs delayed and LTLOA extended. Shall we expect the same here as well?

So no news on this? I would have thought we’d have gotten a breakdown over the weekend from MEC.

Give it a little time. There is some maneuvering going on behind the scenes right now that should benefit all Envoy/AA guys. Can't reveal anymore than that at this time.

What they are opening an LAX base?

highfarfast 08-24-2020 07:24 AM

Is this from the same source that said hiring wouldn't stop?

HalyardJammer 08-24-2020 08:12 AM

I don't doubt that there is movemen , but I don't believe you know anything about it.

I think the movement being referred to comes from the inner sanctum. You know, the bowels of management.

Well TC posted the LTLOA’s and VEOP’s on the DFW page, so it looks like you’re a bit off on your projection. 32 total LTLOA’s of which 28 can help mitigate furloughs.

Not really. That's not the only thing going on behind the scenes at the moment.

buddies8 08-24-2020 10:52 AM

Apa will protect it's own pilots on the seniority list as they should. Dont expect anything positive from apa that does not stomp on envoy pilots.

I thought CNN was bad but you are the king of fake news.

6ix9ineYearFlow 08-24-2020 11:35 AM

Really, Envoy? This is the best you can do? 5-year LTLOA for 145 pilots only? No more CSLOAs, no LTLOAs for those in a 175 status, etc.? Weak.
