Found it. I guess that email was actually tempered by the later email.

This is good news. Maybe "Its time" for 1 list. Make all the RJ's Group 1 pay and staple the Sen list.

Never say never, but it’s never going to happen. It is too final and expensive of a solution for a short term problem. This wave will subside in a year and a half. Things will be different, but not that different.

AA would love all the 175 FOs volunteering to seat fill for sims at midnight.

175 vs 145

Expected to have a class date in early fall this year. I understand that they are phasing out the 145s and introducing the 175s. I was told that the only reason the 145s are still at the company is because they are trying to free up space in the simulators for 145 pilots to train on the 175. If this is true, are they still going to put guys with low seniority in ground school on the 145 later in the year? Or is everyone getting 175 aircraft like the previous classes? Would love to hear some feedback.

If you are asking if you will change AFTER you start training, very unlikely. As far as new hires getting the 145 again, it doesn’t seem likely, but don’t count it out and if someone actually has a plan, they sure aren’t sharing.

What is the current total of 145s? Have they actually started parking them?

In March, the union all call said there were 54 145’s. Since then, I believe they have parked 3 or 4.

This sounds about right. Honestly, I think the parked number since is 3 but not sure. There have been a few "parked" around our system as 'spares' that wouldn't normally be spares. It seems if the airplane is due for a heavy check, it gets parked for retirement and if we just can't staff it, it goes somewhere in our system and is parked as a spare as far as I can tell. Maybe that changes this fall but it makes sense for the summer rush at least imo.

Ok makes sense. Have they drawn down the summer schedule like mainline has, or are they just cancelling what they can't operate as they go?
