Data point. I've been here almost 2 years. I was in the last orientation when they did those formally. My DOH is 4/11/24. I was out flying when they called offering my date. I called back hours later, and I missed out for the March orientation, so they bumped me to April. I lost 60-70 numbers of seniority because I was out teaching steep turns.

After April, they had a couple small classes of "senior" cadets and remaining DECS. There was a massive pause in hiring for 6-7 months or so after that. They tend to call Monday, Thursday, and Friday. I'd try to be free those days. However, maybe they've changed the process and this whole comment I've written is moot.

So is everyone without prior 121 or eligible 135 time (or a cadet) just never going to get a class date? Pretty clear by now that 4-6 months won't happen for us poor OTS CFIs... wondering what a realistic timeline might be....

hang in there and keep treading water and pushing your apps everywhere. I was OTS mil and waited 10 months from interview to class date. Thought a couple times they forgot about me but they didnt.
