Was Ric's prediction/chart based on that - AA hiring 750 this year (375 from Envoy min)? I thought his predictions were based on older, more conservative data...

He planned for flow at 30 a month starting in November, which will actually be January putting him 60 ahead.... plus an average percentage going elsewhere. That was my understanding of it.

I believe Ric numbers were based on 400 new hires next year and 200 flow. Now...

Looks like we might send almost double the number, so I expect they want to upgrade more than 200 next year. It all depends how many new hires we can get.

I can see AAG hurting some smaller carriers not renewing or reducing flying for them (AWAC, RAH, TSA comes to mind), so the pilots go to one of the WO. That was demonstrated when he reduced envoy flying, pilots jumped ship to PSA. We also saw when AMR announced e-175 to RAH, how many pilots left to go there?

It's being proved that pilots are their own enemies just following upgrades and movement.

Next year will be interesting, specially when the 175 comes online.

I was telling someone just this earlier. Hiring will become an issue for everyone. AAG's likely solution will be to not renew flying for some of its regional partners and in turn draw more pilots to it's wholly owneds.

Too much candy for some of you guys. They will park planes to honor the flow.

Good Luck!

I'm certain the answers lie in the last 1500+ posts, but could someone share which fleet(s) are at the DFW base?

APC profile says just DFW and ORD for bases. Still the case? DFW attainable right out of training?

Just curious. Thanks.

DFW and ORD are currently the bases.

EMB-145 are in DFW and ORD.
CRJ-700s are in ORD only.
The E175 will be in DFW (at least the first 20 delivered).

New hires have been getting ORD lately with those bidding for DFW getting the award after several months. We'll see how it all shakes out though once the 175's come online and the pilots go to training for it.

Yes, ORD and DFW. They've been working on getting MIA as a satellite base, but who knows what the progress is on that.
I believe most new hires are going to ORD with a few coming to DFW. If you don't get DFW right away, it won't take to get it with all the movement. Plus, there's a chance you could get DFW E175.

With the way things are going reserve time should be less than a year. At least in ORD.

Thanks for the info. I'm still 'shopping' around if you will for which regional is going to be best for my needs/wants.

Hadn't really put much though into Envoy till recently. I've got friends in the DFW area and I have zero desire for ORD, so if DFW could be had without spending an eternity in ORD, that will play in to my decision making.

E175 would be nice, though I'd be most interested in whatever fleet gives the most productive trips + time off, so if it's another jet, that's completely fine.
