Will envoy plan on getting 175's or are they going to ride the 50 seaters until impact?

They'll do whatever AAG wants them to do. Right now it sure doesn't seem like Mason's predictions are going to come true but he has been right before. One thing to consider is that once this 175 agreement is announced with "XYZ regional" attrition at Envoy is going to explode even worse than it is already.
He also predicted within a year Envoy will be the only path into AA. Honestly, 10-15 airplanes I could care less. The second half of his prediction is the one that could make or break many people here. |

Actually his prediction was some other carrier would be getting the first 10-15 airplanes and it would not be Mesa.

Can they really do that? That is some serious leverage if it goes down. Compass isn't the only way to Delta obviously. How could they just shut down street hiring and force you into a regional? Then again i guess crazier stuff has happened?
Parker has said clearly that he wants to keep the three wholly owned regionals separate. I am sure one could argue the insanity of such an agreement and I would probably be right there with you. Wait and see I guess. |
Unless Eagle (Don't like the new name) or another none E175 airline is 5 months deep into a E175 program, (first plane delivers dec 14). they won't get the first batch... AA will have to place 25-40 elsewhere (based on a min fleet to run efficient) .. So you have Mesa, Republic, SkyWest and Compass. Republic probably not because of there already monopoly on the AA E175.. Not sure what Delta would say about Compass flying them? Seems Delta is still pulling all the strings with them.. SkyWest want to option there own orders not fly AA owned E175's (thats how they make money) Mesa is running thin on getting there UA 175's going may not have the resources to pull it off.. Guess will find out soon...??.. Another though is if Eagle was going to be some "magical Unicorn" airline to get to AA they wouldn't have changed there name and moved them out of the AA building.. But look at the Air Wisconsin ad on this site. Shows a CRJ700!!! Hmmm spread that rumor...

Normally I would say no. In fact if it wasnt for Mason's credibility in the past, I wouldnt even repeat such a ludicrous statement. However, at one point Eaglevoy's last AIP from management said that Eagle pilots would get the FIRST 30 slots - not a ratio - FIRST. Therefore, if AA hired only 30 people in 1 month, all of them would be from Envoy. Same if they hired less. If they hired 35, only 5 would be from the street.

Sounds like bullsht to me. Maybe it "was" the plan before the vote but not anymore. If they were going to make Eagle the only path to AA then why are they trying to kill this place now, and about to give out more flying to others. No replacement aircraft, our fleet is going away, attrition is through the roof. New hire classes are like 1 or 2 people now. No good news here ever to attract anyone to apply or even stay here.

What are the class sizes at Eagle now? One or two? Are you serious?
