"dimwitted people making decisions for me"
I'm only watching from the sidelines but didn't the Eagle Pilot Group vote No on the AIP they were presented, after the MEC on round two let it go to a pilot vote. So you seem to have a problem with how your "Dimwitted Pilot Group" voted. Maybe you're the one that should leave.

You might as well just hand them your paycheck from here on out because with you, the company has already won.
Get some self worth and take a little pride in your skills. Either that, or go work for PSA.. you would fit right in there. Your mind set isn't need here, and wouldn't be welcome at AA let alone any other major airline.

What you consider self worth isn't the same across the board.(PSA set up this mess, but that is water under the bridge that will never be forgotten) I consider schedules more important than money as long as money is enough to do what I want. I don't agree with everything that has been said; however, for those of us that have been here more than 9 years we see how things are going from regional airline bad to regional airline disaster. Since AMR merged with US Air all we have had is horrible times. If you honestly think that we are doing any better today than 6 months ago I have no idea where you have been.
Pride isn't anything unless you get to do what you like. Many airline pilots that have been in the industry for two or three decades know that pride and self worth are only good when a union acts smart and does what is best for the pilot group. Knowing who you elect and being involved is as important as the company you work for.
We have said NO to the B scale last year, NO to the TA this year and apparently NO again to a deal now. My question is, are we now in a better position than over a year ago?
To upgrade now it takes an extra year and that is only if we continue to flow at the rate we are today and as long as we don't lose any more flying or park any more planes.
Skywest and Republic in Chicago.
Skywest / xpressjet in DFW.
And now Republic in Miami.
LA, SJU and BOS closed.
The jets keep coming to every other airline and they are flying them just fine. The classes seem to be filled just as well and and if they aren't their way to fix it is by parking the old ERJs that they wanted to get rid off anyways.
This mess has been years in the making, the urgency isn't here yet because most pilots at Eagle either have a flow date or are hoping to flow on the 824 sooner than later but how about the other 1600 pilots?
No employee in America thinks is fairly compensated but is hard to be sympathetic when many pilots have 18 days off and a minimum of 11. I know we work hard and have many responsibilities but at Eagle we might be losing this battle. As other airlines expand we continue to shrink, our crews continue to have worse schedules and overall less ability to make more money. If you work here and think that we aren't part of the process you are wrong, with our current fleet we can not survive and that makes it our (your) problem.
Is it fair? NO
Look around nothing in this world is fair! Look at history, it is true than more often than not management wins.
It is up to us to direct our union reps to find a way to get the best deal possible as long as it ensures that it stops the bad news that plague our pilot group since we entered into bankruptcy.
But for us to think that we are in the driver seat "think again"

Otherwise we are doomed. I firmly believe the company will no longer entertain serious talks with us as long as the current Union is in place. Save for a few truly good guys in there...the bad apples are holding us back.

Who cares what management want or to whom they want to negotiate with..we have a contract. Doug knew it when he merged with aa. End of story. They want concessions not going to happen I hope. We can talk in 220 when my contract is up if we ate still here. If not then no need to negotiate.
Sounds like people w ant increase flow to aa at any cost. Sorry I just can't do that.

Exactly. With that prevailing mentality we have no hope. Especially when they are in positions of leadership and are negotiating with the Company.

To summarize, then, you guys believe that you are more intelligent and wise than the majority of the pilot group, and that in fact everyone who has a different perspective is not only stupid but being "led" down the wrong path by leaders who are also not as intelligent than you.
What a burden it must be.

I'm with buddies and wareagle. Management is being unreasonable. As long as people with elevated egos like jerry glass are in charge, we will not get anywhere. Give me one good reason why the company is in such dire straights that I need to take concessions.
