And by "so many careers", of course you mean your own...

Mesa will be hiring street captains soon. PHX base man! Who knows, you might even get to fly some old Eagle planes over there soon!

Nothing wrong with doing that. You have to look out for yourself if you want to get ahead. Standing strong won't give you that career advancement.

I have no problems with FO's that are willing to do a lateral move for that quick upgrade.

Yes that's right, screw the other guy to get ahead while crying for mainline pilots to stick together to regain all regional flying. Talk about two face. Sorry that how I took it.

CRJ900LR 09-01-2014 05:03 PM

Some of the regional flying that has been awarded to these carriers should be done by mainline. There is always going to be the need for regional feed, that's just the way its set up these days, but it needs to be right sized with the proper aircraft flying the routes. Back in the day US flew PHL-MCI with a combination of 737's/MD-80's then it went to a combination of CRJ-200's and EMB-170's. This is a route, like many, that should have never had any regional flying.

Any truth to envoy giving up flying in DFW to Express jet/Asa due to lack of staffing?

Wouldn't doubt it. Some of it will go to MESA when they bring their ops to the Dee-F-Dub.
