I find it laughable to mention "career" and "Envoy" in the same sentence. Job, perhaps yes, but career ?
No.
In 3-4 years a topped out 12-year senior RJ pilot flying E-175's will make the equivalent of about $75,000/year in today's dollars based on inflation, health care and the correction of senior RJ pilots to a new max 12-year scale. PBS will eliminate all the "pay, no fly" end runs in the current contract and since you can only fly 1000 hours/year (a tough life for an old RJ pilot), that's about it.
You'll STLL be treated like dirt while doing it. One could hardly call that a "career". As long as the flow keeps going, it's probably OK for most except the lifer RJ pilots, but if it stops or slows, that could get ugly.
