At the expense of sounding harsh, is a senior Envoy captain that's about to flow upset he got a 72 hour line instead of 92 so the guy at the bottom could keep his job?
They won't furlough. The pilots would never come back. If they did, our flow gets increased 15% more a month. Besides, we will need the extra pilots to cover the training bubble that the new E175's will create across all three types. Unlike PSA and others our training program can handle the extra cycles. Having extra pilots now means no withholding of classes when the music starts up.
So far, As the independents lose their ability to cover flying due to ever decreasing staffing the flying is being repatriated back to envoy.

When does the first E175 arrive along with scheduled service beginning?

I didn't mean they would furlough. It was a response to the upset pilots advocating that a new hire avoid Envoy for those reasons. If that problem will fix itself when Envoy accepts the 175s it wouldn't matter to a new hire how many senior guys are currently flying 4 days against their will, or the line value vs. min days because they would still be on reserve. It isn't fair to call it a cultural change if the company is overstaffed and that's an obvious way to save money and retain the pilots until the new planes show up.
