I'm Oct Doh and am a couple weeks into long term. Also most Jr Capt is the last guy hired in NOV 07. Next vacancy will take it into 08 easily. Also the 2.5/6 is for guys coming on property now not when you were hired. |

This thread is full of exaggerations and b****ing. Quit or have your owner take you out behind the barn and put you out of your misery.

There are plenty of other regionals advertising less than a 2.5 yr upgrade. If you are truly so unhappy and think that PIC will be your magic ticket, why don't you make the lateral move to PSA, Go Jet or Mesa? I am sure that either of these companies could have you in class within a month.
Unless I see some drastic change that would be just cause for a lateral, I'm trying to move UP. As in all the places I've posted. If I don't get something it won't be from lack of effort. I'm pulling everything out and going for broke RIGHT NOW because I can't continue this BS reserve lifestyle. I'm just saying that if any Envoy pilot out there REALLY believes this 2.5/6 crap that management is pushing, then they need to have their head examined and should really consider another profession. If they are that dense, they don't need to be near the controls of a passenger airliner. |

I've thought it through and I'm not going to do it. I wouldn't lose that much money but these regionals are just way too unstable. I move to PSA, if they can't hire enough, then I'm stuck there as an FO just like here at Envoy.

"With very reasonable assumptions, a new hire today is currently projected to upgrade to Captain in two and a half years – and flow to American approximately six years from hire." I think your reading comprehension needs to be examined. A...new...hire...TODAY...is...currently...projecte d... Not someone hired 3 years ago. |
