I don't think so. What's normal to one person is not normal to another. That is for the DOL to interpret when you bring your case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There is no way this is the full story. My bet is our crappy Union is releasing a highly edited version of the truth in order to create discontent. Also, consider the source, the union rep who released this is the king of sick/fmla abuse and recently got fired for it. His motivations are highly suspect at the moment.

You're joking, right? The people here don't need any help from the union when it comes to feeling discontent. There's plenty to go around. What, exactly, would be accomplished by heaping more on the pile? It's not some master plan by the union, that's for sure. Which rep released this? |
I say we all envoy pilots should call in sick and all go out for pizza. That would a site to see. What are they going to do...fire the whole airline?

Taken from notes from a Union conference call.
"...Another pilot was out on FMLA for chronic alleges and sinus issues. The company had this individual followed by a PI. The PI reported that the pilot drove to the bank and picked up a pizza on the way home. The pilot was terminated for this. In response to these types of events, ALPA has asked the company for a list of prohibitive actions while on FMLA that they expect an employee to comply with since discipline, up to and including termination, is being handed down..." Great place to work! Get a personal paparazzi for calling in sick! Don't like it? Well good news, you don't work here anymore!!! |

No. Just sue alpa and decertify them for an illegal job action. This shouldn't even be discussed on apc.

Who is to say that the guy wasn't on prescription meds and taking them? Makes you illegal to fly anywhere anytime. I read that the guy was out for sinus issues. I'd lawyer up, and not an ALPA lawyer either--a smart person can always get over on an idiot.

The fact that any idiot thinks that too sick to fly must mean too sick to get a pizza to go should be investigated for potential criminal intimidation, liable, slander and anything else, and at the very least should cost some bean counting scumbag many millions of dollars. |
